In this blog post, I would like to briefly introduce myself and share the reasons why I am starting my own blog and the type of content I plan to share.
Introduction
Hey, there ๐
My name is JayB Kim and i come from Seoul, South Korea. I am a builder on Cosmos Network specializing in technology stacks, such as Tendermint, Cosmos SDK, IBC Protocol, and CosmWasm. I have been actively participating in the community since before the Mainnet launch of the Cosmos Hub on May 13th, 2019.
Back in 2017, I was assigned by the company to research various promising blockchain projects and Cosmos was one of them. I quickly fell down the rabbit hole and became a part of the community members to participate as a validator and a builder, actively participating and contributing to the development of ecosystem tooling. I love the vision of an Internet of blockchains and how Cosmos approaches to fix it by allowing them to connect and share information through its Interchain Communication Protocol (IBC). Moreover, I really like the idea that they built the Cosmos SDK framework, which allows you to create your own sovereign blockchain and gives you the freedom to customize it to fit your specific needs and preferences
Throughout my blockchain professional career, I worked with Cosmostation, B-Harvest, and Ignite (Formerly Tendermint) and I have gained experiences in building crypto wallet solution, setting up infrastructure for Proof of Stake-based validator nodes, developing a block explorer, developing multiple Cosmos SDK-based modules and contributing various other helpful tools for the ecosystem.
I am truly excited to be a part of this rapidly-evolving industry and building products that users love is my passion, and I am dedicated to constantly refining my skills and knowledge in order to make that happen. Every day, I strive to learn something new and challenge myself to improve, knowing that this ongoing pursuit of dedication will lead me to achieve great things in the future.
Why do I start my own blog? โ๏ธ
For the past year, I have been eager to launch my own blog as a way to document my learning and knowledge that I've gained throughout my crypto journey so that someone like you who are reading this can use it to empower themselves.
Documenting what I learn and study will also help me grow professionally and i believe it will connect to like-minded individuals, exchange ideas and learn from each other. This potentially leads to collaborate with me to bring innovation in this blockchain world. I am really excited to open my own blog to start sharing my thoughts, insights, and knowledge on all things related to the crypto world and learnings that I gain.
Things I want to share ๐
In this blog, I will be sharing a wide range of things centered around the crypto world, personal growth, and books that I read. Things may change along the way but at the time of writing this first post, I am heavily focused on DeFi (Decentralized Finance). Therefore, I am planning to share DeFi terminology, DeFi projects, ultimate guides on building xyz. Basically, things i have studied and learned along the way.
I can't make any promises about writing specific content within a day, a week, or a month. But you are more than welcome to leave any ideas or suggestions that you want to see in this blog. I will consider writing it at some point. This is my personal learning journey, where I absorb knowledge from others and share what I learn along the way. I'm all about building and shipping cool products, embracing mistakes as learning opportunities.
Lastly, I just want to say THANK YOU for just being here and reading my first blog post. You can leave me any ideas or suggestions that you want to see in this blog. Also, feel free to contact me through any of my social media.
Let's ride on a crypto journey together!
